Purple Flame Garden Phlox is a long blooming variety with clusters of deep, bold purple blooms. Purple Flame has an upright habit and is considered a dwarf phlox, with a mature height of 12-16″.
Phlox is best grown in moist, well drained soil in full sun. It is important that phlox have adequate air flow to prevent powdery mildew from forming. Once mature we advise thinning the stalks on the tall phlox, to help increase air flow. When watering, prevent watering directly onto the leaves as this can increase the chances of powdery mildew forming. During dry and hot conditions be sure to provide adequate water for your tall garden phlox.
